You just don't have an awkwardly animated npc spewing it at you for a half hour or a big glowing mark pointing you from one place to another. In Generation Zero: Alpine Unrest, a new faction is added to the game. It says a lot about gamers these days when they can sit there and say a game has no story when it's filled with story. Gen Zero is very much like how old school games used to be, where you had to pay attention, and even keep notes in some cases. You can start the dlc but you will be just as lost because you didn't pick up on the story and clues of the base game. The dlc merely continues on the things you learn about in the base game. It's not spoon fed to you however which is more accurate to say. If you bothered to play it you would know that. The DLC seems to be the first proper story / campaign part of the game so people want to play a game with a storyline not a giant empty map. If you haven´t explored the original game enough to have even traveled past the first region, why do you even want to play the DLC.? You have like 60-90 hours of playtime on the base map alone.īecause the original game is rather garbage with an empty world with no story to speak of except running from one place to the next picking up clues/notes.
